Title Design: See You Soon PT 1

Unlike previous films like "Al-Kimia". "SeevYou Soon" did not have such an elabprate theme that runs the story, this time "See You Soon" is a drama narrative, the only themes are the ones defined by the characters rather than the story.

I started Simple, title on black, all caps, and a classic book font. Already it looks appealing, simple, gets the point across. however, there's nothing special to it, so then I tried rearranging the words to see if i can find something that can look even more pleasing.

By simply moving them on top of each other I began noticing patterns, already I can see the three O's in the title forming a slight triangle. This made me realise that I can tie this to the story, The film consists of three main characters, evidently the only characters you see anyway, the characters are important as each other, they also work as supporting characters with each other. Since the three characters are so interlinked, I was curious to see what happen if I merged the three O's in a chain like fashion.

As interesting and relevant joining text, it can look very cluttered, and if the logo becomes to much of a factor it can eat away from the story, joining the letters made it look alien, and that's when I felt I should lay back in over complicating it. I realised the more I play and complicate it, the more it takes away from the main feature. The title has so many advantages, but making a Saul Bass piece would not not help the story.

Starting from the beginning and deciding to leave it simple, I thought I should at least see what I can do with colour. Since the film is showcasing  life of a professional runner, i thought it would be nice to see what can be done with blue-red-white (colours on a medal belt)

the following where ideas playing with that.

This is the start of approaching the title, the art of it is to find a balance between making relate to the film, and also not to be distracting.
